Here’s some inter-city spread quotes to possibly foster discussion on both spread trading and the underlying outright markets. I’ve included examples across regions within both the east and west coasts that don’t rely on CUS quotes. As such, traders can express an opinion on the basis between two geographically similar regions. This reduces the outright market risk and the basis between (more dramatically) different parts of the country. Note that the “Proposed Spreads” are inside the levels automatically generatated by the CME from outright bids and offers. The spreads are quoted front contract minus the back contract (by CME convention).
